So this work is really of abstracted figures who have somehow carried themselves in to my mind only to be reproduced in paint on this cartridge paper

I love to work with soft pastels on a good quality paper as I not only enjoy the feel of working across the surface but also the sounds

almost as if witnessing a chrysalis on the verge of change

On hot summer days families cool themselves in the river Dart

Flowers in the window in mid August, the window and its shapes made an interesting subject the organic shapes of the vase filled with summer flowers, set against the regular shapes of the buildings. The window divides the surface up and adds interest separating the viewer from the house in the background. Sitting by this window whilst visiting family, I decided to draw what I saw. I
