Yet Ernest Hemingway frequented Cubas most glamorous Hotel Nacional de Cuba to hang at the bar, socialise and dwell on his writings. Over the 1930s and 40s, the bar was host to faces such as Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, and Marlon Brando.
