He Whakaputanga - The United Tribes of NZ Flag Fabric:(Economy) Eyelets 1500x900mm Available as a vertical flagThe first official flag of New Zealand Te Kara o Te Whakaminenga o Nga Hapu o Nu Tireni. On 20th March 1834, 25 Chiefs from the Far North gathered at Waitangi and chose this flag, from 3 designs, which Busby declared the flag of New Zealand.
