3" x 3" area of upper right and lower left corners show very mild

although recently cleaned and ready for in home use

with a couple of rips on all corners and sides

and the cut is not perfectly straight

with the original aged wood showing through in many areas

Exquisite shading and use of mixed medium. Great application and contrast of highlights for the furry brow and nose, and even absence of application for pipe smoke. A favorite! Appears to be a mix of paper, watercolor, India ink and correction wash atop of paper mounted on board. Beautiful artist signature in lower right corner
