Description

Thelonius Monk

Medicina is the brainchild of singer and multi-instrumentalist Ben Harris

I cannot recommend this superb CD highly enough - it is the sort of recording to listen to in awe at the sustained and unerring skill of the performers and the burgeoning brilliance of the composers (and their unobtrusive editor)

Set in the French Quarter of New Orleans following World War II

two concerts for the Czech Republic's Prague Spring Festival

Dream 2 Science - Dream 2 Science AEC Video Thelonius MonkDigitally remastered and expanded edition of this 1990 EP from New Yorker Ben Cenac, who was also member of electro pioneers Newcleus. His approach is perhaps slightly more sci fi in the synths and pad sounds, and perhaps a tad less crafted and mercurial in production, but this adds in realness and charm. This record could be studied in university as the synthesis of the deep house scene of the early 1990's.
