A Path Way Water based ink mixed media on Daler RowneyThe reed beds on the banks of the river Dart at Sharpham hold a special place in my heart. This work was started by making monoprints of the reeds using the wet earth that was on site. A wet morning in May, in many ways a typical late spring morning. The feel and sound of coating reeds in wet earth and then laying them on paper and enjoying what emerges. Rich in texture and yet the simplicity of form is so rewarding.
