I love that the design would have been screened specifically for this dress prior to construction as the borders of the print follow the design exactly

It is styled with an additional light crinoline but does have fullness on its own so it really can be worn either way depending on how dressed you want to make it

I love the wide kimono inspired sleeves

You could wear it on the hips if you are smaller or have the elastic inside the waistband shortened to make it smaller if needed

Woven through the silk is a beautiful design of feathers that have been done in a red thread. Also woven directly into the silk are medallions that are scattered over the surface and around the feather design. Along the inner seams the fabric has the markings of the fabric maker which is in interesting detail and depicts its higher end origins. The red is much better in person
