This beautiful jacket was made from a navy blue taffeta in the 1940s

Functional slit pockets at the waist add a practical element and there is a storm button inside to prevent the coat blowing open

however the original boning is missing from the back and the wearer’s left hand side

a tiny hole on the sleeve and some tiny very faint marks as pictured
