The caftan has an inner poly jersey dress that is basically a tube running from the shoulders down. Super comfortable to wear. Over this a lace and gold thread overlay is attached at the shoulders and around the neckline so it flows and moves but stays properly in place. The overlay is a machine lace in a azure blue tone with gold colored threading running through and highlighting each "fan" design. It
